This month we are continuing the tradition of curry nights and carvery Sunday lunches…

Dates as follows:

Curry Nights – Join us on Thursday 14th and 28th of November between 18:00 and 20:00 and serve yourself from our mouth-watering range of homemade curries – with a choice of Basmati Rice, Chips, Poppadums and Naan Bread. £9.50 per person.

Midweek Carvery – Every Wednesday evening between 18:00 and 20:00.
Sunday Carvery – Every Sunday between 12 noon and 3pm.

With a choice of succulent roast meats from our butcher, T.J.Roberts of Bala and accompanied by fresh seasonable vegetables, with all the trimmings.

STARTERS
Seasonal Roast Vegetable Soup with Stilton – served with a crusty roll and butter.
Smoked Salmon – with beetroot and a vodka crème fraiche.
Ham Hock & Mustard Terrine – served with a red onion chutney, toast and salad garnish.
Goat’s Cheese and Beetroot Frittata Salad.

MAIN COURSES
Traditional Christmas Roast:
Our Butcher’s succulent Turkey Breast – served with cranberry and bacon stuffing, ‘pig in a blanket’, roast potatoes, Brussels sprouts, roasted honey parsnips, carrots and red cabbage
8oz Ribeye Steak – served with fat chips, homemade onion ring, garlic mushroom, cherry tomato and garlic butter
Pan Fried Sea Bass Fillet – served with a lemon & herb butter sauce, fresh green beans, new potatoes and fresh vegetables
Three Field Mushrooms – stuffed with garlic spinach and mixed Mediterranean vegetables, topped with grated cheddar cheese and breadcrumbs – served with fresh vegetables.

DESSERTS
Christmas Pudding – served with brandy custard or Christmas ice-cream
Homemade After-Eight Cheesecake – served with a creamy, mint chocolate sauce.
Christmas Mess – a seasonal twist on the classic Eton Mess with cranberries, orange, strawberries, mixed berries and crushed cinnamon meringue.
Selection of Welsh Cheeses – served with fresh grapes, onion chutney and crackers.

Spooner’s Tap Takeover Returns for 2019!

From Thursday May 2nd we are being taken over by the world famous Three Tuns Brewery for approximately one week.

Come and sample the wide range of ales on offer, including…

XXX – 4.3% – A renowned beer from a recipe passed down by the Roberts family; a pale-straw-coloured, premium bitter with simple, light malty sweetness, delicate with light bitterness of floral, earthy character.

Best – 3.8% – A most traditional brown ale. All English hop varieties, Marris otter malts. Rich and smooth throughout with a pleasing long bitter-sweet finish.

Rantipole – 3.6% – Refreshingly light and hoppy with hints of elderflower.

Solstice – 3.9% – Straw-coloured, lightly malty, medium-strong, crisp, floral fruity bitterness.

Stout – 4.4% – Black, smooth, creamy, old-fashioned stout with a bitter finish.

Cleric’s Cure – 5.0% –  A light-tan beer presenting medium malty sweetness with powerful, spicy, floral bitterness and hop character designed to recreate the iconic style of India Pale Ales of the 19th Century.
